LG Optimus 4X HD, Optimus Vu, Optimus 3D Max, Optimus L3 y L7 características previas

LG Optimus 4X HD, Vu, 3D Max, L7, and L3 are previewed earlier than expected

Well people, we don’t have to wait until tomorrow to scope out LG’s upcoming smartphones set for their official unveiling at the MWC floor tomorrow, February 26th – that’s because they’ve already gotten the preview treatment by the folks over at Telefonino. From the looks of it all, the hands-on treatment has been given to the recently announced L Series that consists of the LG L3 and L7, the successor of the Optimus 3D, the LG Optimus 3D Max, the note taking LG Optimus Vu, and the mightiest one of them all, the quad-core smoking LG Optimus 4X HD.

Let’s talk about the latter first, the LG Optimus 4X HD, since it’s probably the one that’s going to catch the attention of people more than anything else since it’s going to be scorching things up with its quad-core processor, 4.7” 720p HD-IPS display, and running LG’s most up-to-date Optimus UI on top of Android 4.0.3. Right away, we’re presented with some of the visual enhancements with LG’s take on Ice Cream Sandwich with things like the lockscreen and 3D effects in play when moving between homescreens. Fortunately, it seems to maintain its fluid movement thanks to its dreamy processor, but even more impressive considering it’s packing a 720p resolution display as well. Beyond seeing the latest LG experience in action, there’s not a whole lot of focus on the handset’s design in the video – though, we’ll be seeing it in the flesh very soon.

Next up on the list is the LG Optimus Vu, which is aiming to be a direct competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Note with its 4:3 aspect ratio display and note taking capabilities. Naturally, it has a distinguished boxy appearance, which isn’t something we typically see, due to its 5-inch 768 x 1024 display. Regardless of that, it still sports one streamlined construction, but it’s rather difficult to know for sure if it houses a stylus seeing a separate one was used to show off its new pen interface.

Is 3D more your kind of thing? Well, the LG Optimus 3D Max is here to the rescue bringing back those novel 3D features to the smartphone. In terms of design, it seems to retain most of the same design characteristics found with its predecessor, but its rear cover seems to employ a textured surface. Meanwhile, two unspecified sized cameras are found around back to give users the opportunity of snapping 3D photos, which can then be viewed on its no-glasses required 3D display.  Unfortunately though, the handset is running on Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread, which is undoubtedly a bummer, but hey, that’s just the way it is.
